Both refused to cooperate in any way. Early monday morning after hours of interviews from investigators and medical staff, the mother said that she had given birth early sunday, and that the baby was stillborn. She claimed that she and the babys father had buried the body in the Morosga Court area of the San Lucia Apartments off Linberg dr. She also agreed to lead detectives to the site. The newborns body was found buried under garbage in a dumpster . The Medical Examiners office has the infants body and will determine if the baby was stillborn. An Autopsy will determine cause of death and then the decision will be made if charges are to be brought against the parents. It could turn out to be a homicide case, depending on results from the M.E. The state of Ga has a SAFE HAVEN LAW this allows a mother to leave an infant up to 7 days old with any employee of a medical facility with fear of penalty from the law. This law is to protect newborn babies from being abandoned in dumpsters etc.
